Spitzkoppe and tribute to Ondjipa
After a very nice christmas season, which I spent mainly with my family travelling through Namibia, I had to return to work at the beginning of January. After a slow start there is really a lot to do now. Therefore it was good to have a break. Two friends from Germany, Nina and Tim, came to visit and we spent a weekend at the Spitzkoppe, about 250 km away from Windhoek. The landscape was really amazing and the Spitzkoppe is well worth a visit. The only problem was the heat, which was at times almost unbearable. And for some reason we attracted a lot of flies, which was very annoying. But we had a very nice weekend with the usual braai and a little bit of climbing up the mountain. Here are some impressions.
And now on to something completely different.... Another "major" event was that I sold my car, Ondjipa. I made a lot of nice trips with this car and I really, really liked it, but it was time to go on and get another one. Therefore, Ondjipa is gone now, but I owe her some tribute, which is the reason for the next pictures.
On the pictures from the next trip you will probably see my next car, but nothing is finalized yet. But you are, as always, welcome to come an see for yourself.
